Paragraph of the Week (Part 8)

For the first time, I scheduled this to post on its own. Will it work? And what time will it post? Who knows. Let’s hope you are seeing this on Saturday at a reasonable hour. And finally, dialogue (cue dramatic music).

He pulled out his cell phone. Staring at it until the lights blurred and became a firefly-like glow, he moved his fingers to the screen and found the number.
“Hello?”
“Hey, it’s ——”
“John…monsieur this is quite unexpected. We haven’t talked in…in….”
“A long time. Do you think we could meet for a late lunch?”
“Of course.”
“On Broadway there is a Japanese restaurant.”
“I think I know which one you are talking about, I’ll see you then. And just ——”
John hit the ‘END’ button and walked back to the city.
